Salvaged Wood Mosaic glued to 15/32" birch plywood backing board.  Finished with multiple applications of a mixture of linseed oil, polyurethane, mineral spirits, and then polished with bees wax and orange oil. Some of the patterns on this piece include colored lines, which where created by gluing split pieces of wood together with wood glue mixed with sawdust and acrylic paint.
 
A tilted film-reel pattern represents the mind scanning for flaws. It ignores the good to obsess over five ghostly entities of past encounters. It loops over and over, columns of electric eyes won’t stop looking. This reel sits over a dark, woven void, the still space beyond thought.
